SatiaPrivacy Policy
In short: Satia stores your health data only on your phone. There is no Satia server, no account, and your data is never sent to us or used for advertising or analytics.
1. What is stored, and where
Everything you enter (dose records, weight and body measurements, side effects, satiety diary, nutrition and water entries, injection-site photos, doctor and relative contact details, settings) is stored only on your device. If iCloud Backup is enabled, this data is included in your Apple backup; Satia cannot access it.
2. Apple Health (HealthKit)
With your permission, Satia reads steps, weight, body fat, waist circumference, calories and protein from Apple Health and adds them to your diary. It does not write to Health. Health data is never shared with third parties, never used for advertising or marketing, and never leaves the device. You can revoke access at any time in iPhone Settings › Health › Data Access or inside the app.
3. Camera and photos
The camera is used to photograph injection sites and to scan the 2D barcode on medication boxes, food barcodes and the instruction QR code your doctor gives you. Photos are stored without location data and only on your device.
4. The only thing sent to the internet
When you search for a food, the word you typed or the barcode you scanned is sent to the open database Open Food Facts (openfoodfacts.org); no health data is sent. This feature is optional. Apart from this, Satia sends nothing to the internet.
5. Shares you start yourself
Sending a PDF report to your doctor, preparing a WhatsApp/SMS message to a relative or sharing a backup file happens only when you start it and goes through the app you choose (Mail, WhatsApp, Messages, Files). Satia does not see or record these shares.
6. Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple. Satia never sees your payment details; it only uses Apple's "is the purchase valid" status.
7. Notifications
Dose, water and other reminders are scheduled locally on your device; no server is used. A setting hides the medication name in notifications (default: hidden).
8. Backup and deletion
Settings › Back up creates a full copy of your data; Delete all data removes all records and settings from the device. Deleting the app also deletes all data.
9. Children
Satia is not designed for people under 17.
10. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page and is reachable from "About this app" inside the app.
11. Medical notice
Satia does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment; it is a personal tracking tool. Make dose and treatment decisions with your doctor.
12. Website contact form
The name, email address and message you enter in the contact form on satiaapp.com are forwarded to the developer by email only so we can reply. They are not stored on the website or in a database and are not shared with third parties. To prevent abuse, a hashed form of your IP address is kept for up to 10 minutes for rate limiting.
